WiiM’s first soundbar, the WiiM Bar, is a standalone 3.0.2 model with virtual Dolby Atmos. TechRadar reviewer Harry Padoan found it delivered clear dialogue and a spacious soundstage, though its audio lacked some impact and its lowest frequencies could feel subdued.
In scenes from Godzilla Minus One and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Padoan said the soundbar tracked overhead and on-screen effects convincingly, while keeping dialogue distinct. He also described the sound in Nosferatu as powerful and wide. Music performance was solid but imperfect, with bass that could be less rhythmic.
The WiiM Bar has a 135W maximum power output and includes Night, Voice, Movie, and Music modes. Its companion app offers sound and display settings, equalization options, and RoomFit, which creates customized equalization for the left, center, and right channels.
Connectivity includes HDMI eARC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, digital optical, USB, and RCA. The soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and can pair with compatible WiiM subwoofers and surround speakers. However, it has just one HDMI eARC port and no HDMI passthrough, so a console or streaming device cannot connect through the bar. It also lacks AirPlay 2 and upward-firing drivers for physical Atmos effects. Padoan’s review describes the WiiM Bar as a strong debut, while noting those limitations.
