Delivery estimates for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, moved into 2027 less than an hour after preorders opened at 8AM ET on Friday, according to The Verge’s Stevie Bonifield. At the time of the report, Apple’s website showed late January delivery estimates for every configuration.
The iPhone Duo is slated to launch in stores on October 23. Apple typically reserves some units for in-store availability, so in-person availability may come sooner than online orders. The report says the delay could reflect high demand, low supply, or both.
Apple announced the iPhone Duo in September. It has a shorter, passport-style design that Samsung introduced earlier this year. The phone starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model and comes in “star white” and “night sky.” Preorders remain available on Apple’s website, though delivery may involve a long wait.
