TechRadar reviewer James Holland describes the Hisense UR9 as a strong showcase for RGB LED televisions, with impressive color coverage and accuracy, but says its high price limits its value against QLED and mini-LED rivals.
The UR9 supports refresh rates up to 180Hz and includes AMD FreeSync. Holland reports minor blooming, a flaw that some premium mid-range TVs have addressed. In filmmaker mode, the review measured almost 100% UHDA-P3 and more than 92% BT.2020 color coverage. Color accuracy measured Delta E > 2.2 in filmmaker mode and 9.9 in standard mode.
The television includes Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Vision 2, Dolby Atmos, HDR10, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, and Wi-Fi 6E. It also supports Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Cast, and Google Assistant. Its hands-free Google Gemini voice assistant can handle conversational requests, but Holland found it sometimes gave incorrect streaming information or showed YouTube videos instead of carrying out requests.
TechRadar says the UR9 launched in April 2026. The 65-inch model had an MSRP of $3,499.99, £1,999, or $3,999, depending on market; the 100-inch US model was listed at $8,999.99. The review also cited retailer prices of $1,699, £1,699, or AU$2,995 for the 65-inch model, and a US price drop to $4,999.99 for the 100-inch model. The 75- and 85-inch sizes are also available. Holland concludes the screen is vibrant and immersive, while noting the premium cost of adopting the new technology early.
