GIGABYTE provided warranty service for a graphics card after its owner accidentally broke the cooler’s fan blades, according to a report by Wccftech. The exact GPU model was not disclosed.
Wccftech reports that the owner shared evidence that GIGABYTE did not refuse warranty service. The company changed the service from a complete card replacement to a repair.
GIGABYTE also reportedly told the owner that the repair process could discolor the GPU’s printed circuit board (PCB). The report says the owner had encountered Event ID 153 and Event ID 14, followed by an “nvlddmkm” error. It does not establish whether those errors were related to the broken fan or the warranty repair.
