Garmin has launched two new smartwatches: the Enduro 4, an endurance-focused model, and the Approach S72, a golf watch. The company says the S72 is designed to help users “better understand their whole game.”
The Enduro 4 has a 1.4-inch MIP display and offers up to 90 days of battery life in smartwatch mode or up to 320 hours in activity mode. Garmin describes it as its “longest-lasting GPS smartwatch.” It also adds a ComfortFit fabric band in place of the Enduro 3’s nylon hook-and-loop band, plus solar charging and dedicated power modes. The watch weighs 57g and has a Power Sapphire lens, titanium bezel and polymer shell.
The Approach S72 adds golf biometric data that match heart rate to moments during a round. It supports phone calls and voice commands, and offers up to 20 hours of battery life or up to 16 days with GPS off.
Garmin prices the Approach S72 at $799.99, £699.99 or €799.99. The Enduro 4 costs $899.99, £799.99 or €899.99. For comparison, Garmin says the Enduro 4 can last up to 90 days in smartwatch mode, while the Fenix 9 Pro lasts up to 10 days. The Enduro 4 lacks the Fenix 9 Pro’s 3,000-nit AMOLED display, titanium case, built-in speaker and microphone, and double the internal storage. Garmin positions the Enduro 4 around battery life and the Fenix 9 Pro as a high-end all-rounder.
