Anthropic launches Claude for Financial Advisors

Anthropic has introduced Claude for Financial Advisors, a service that adds connectors and pre-built workflows to Claude for wealth management and financial advice firms.

The company says financial advisors spend around one-sixth of their time in client meetings, while much of the rest goes to preparation and research. Claude for Financial Advisors is designed to sit on top of an existing technology stack and act as a hub for relevant context, research, and data.

For example, an advisor could ask it to prepare for a 2pm client review. The assistant can gather relevant information and help conclude a meeting with notes and follow-up tasks. Addepar, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Wealthbox, Wealth.com, Vanguard, and Zocks are among the first connectors being added.

Anthropic says the service is intended to support advisors rather than replace them by handling repetitive administrative work. The company also suggests that Enterprise plans may be better suited to financial firms because they include additional audit logging. The tool is currently available as a plugin, and Anthropic is offering a one-time usage credit to new customers requesting a license before the end of September.
