TechRadar reviewer Harry Padoan describes the Anker Soundcore AeroClip 2 as a solid upgrade over the original AeroClip, with higher-resolution audio support, improved water resistance, clearer calls and customizable sound. The clip-on earbuds retain a lightweight, comfortable fit, while their smaller case is easier to carry.
According to Anker, the new AnkerThus chip offers 150x the computing power of the previous model. Padoan found call quality clear, with AI reducing external sounds, and praised the Whisper mode. HearID lets listeners choose a preferred sound profile; Padoan says his result added emphasis to the low end.
The AeroClip 2 are rated IP57, up from IPX4 on the original. The rating protects against dust and allows submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Battery life is rated at 8 hours from the earbuds and 32 hours with the case, an 8-hour increase over the original AeroClip.
Soundcore has added LDAC for higher-resolution Bluetooth audio with compatible devices. In Padoan’s listening tests, it brought out more vocal detail and subtle percussion. He found the sound more revealing than the original, but said bass can feel recessed out of the box and the open-ear design limits low frequencies. He recommends trying HearID to tune the sound. Overall, Padoan considers them capable earbuds, though the review notes they cost more than the original at launch.
