Panasonic has expanded its lightweight business notebook lineup with the Let's Note SC7, which weighs 919 grams. The compact laptop has a 12.4-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a circular touchpad that lets users scroll by tracing a finger along its outer rim.
The SC7 uses an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor with a 47 TOPS neural processing unit for on-device AI tasks. Its base configuration has 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage; options include 32GB or 64GB of RAM and 1TB or 2TB of storage. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet.
Panasonic says the 56Wh removable battery lasts about 17.7 hours during video playback and 32.4 hours in idle mode under JEITA 3.0 standards. In PCMark 10's Modern Office profile, testing returned about 22 hours and 59 minutes of everyday use. The bundled 65W USB PD adapter charges it to about 46% in 30 minutes.
The notebook meets the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD-810H toughness standard. Panasonic says it also passed internal drop tests from 76 centimeters and 30 centimeters across 26 directions, as well as a 100 kgf pressure vibration test. It has facial recognition and a fingerprint sensor. Listed at 298,100 yen (about $1,880), it is available in four colors; Panasonic has not indicated whether it will be sold outside Japan.
