At Logitech G Play 2026 in Warsaw, TechRadar’s Dashiell Wood tried the company’s new G316 X 75 gaming keyboard and found it more impressive than the event’s higher-priced peripherals. The report is based on hands-on time at the event.
The G316 X 75 is a smaller version of the G316 X 98, which Logitech introduced earlier this year. Its 75% layout removes the number pad and a few less-used keys, leaving about 2.4 inches (6 cm) more space on the right for a mousepad.
The wired keyboard has full RGB backlighting, a customizable LED strip controlled through Logitech G Hub, and a small screen with a button and dial. Those controls can enable game mode, which locks the Windows key, adjust music volume, and change settings such as RGB brightness. A Logitech representative told Wood that users cannot currently display their own icons or emoji on the screen.
Wood describes the plastic body as weighty, with no noticeable flex while typing. The keycaps are double-shot PBT with shine-through legends, and both keycaps and switches are hot-swappable. Logitech-developed tactile switches felt smooth and quieter than expected to him, though they required more force and lacked a distinct mid-press bump.
The keyboard’s 8 kHz report rate is intended to reduce input delays. Logitech lists the G316 X 75 at £89.99, $99.99, or AU$169.95. Wood says he sees it as a compelling option for cost-conscious gamers, while noting that it is geared toward casual gaming.
