Miab consolidates Swedish IT with Nordlo after rapid growth

Service company Miab has selected Nordlo as its strategic IT partner in Sweden after rapid growth and several acquisitions. The agreement was signed shortly before year-end and initially covers support and license management.

Miab’s expansion created a more complex IT environment with several suppliers, different working methods and licenses that were not always aligned with actual needs. According to Dara Tavakolian, Senior Sales Account Manager at Nordlo Advance, Miab first wanted to reduce the support and license-management workload handled by its IT manager in Sweden.

Nordlo and Miab first made contact in 2022. Miab later merged parts of its Swedish and Finnish organization. Finland still has its own IT partner, while Nordlo now handles large parts of user-facing IT in Sweden.

One early step was reviewing licenses. Nordlo said the issue was not mainly too many licenses, but licenses that were more advanced than the business needed. The next step is to automate recurring tasks including onboarding, offboarding, account management, and computer and mobile-phone handling.

Miab has about 1,000 employees in Sweden, and Nordlo estimates that roughly half use computers at work. The cooperation will also include standardizing computers and mobile phones to a shared security level and training users. David Brindefalk, CEO of Nordlo Advance, said Miab’s large workforce in the cleaning-services industry makes smooth, automated processes particularly relevant.
