Microsoft is introducing a pay-as-you-go option for Xbox Cloud Gaming, with bundles starting at $3.99 for 10 hours of playtime. The company previously announced that people will be able to use the service in November without an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Xbox Insiders without Game Pass can start buying cloud playtime today, ahead of a broader rollout next month. The introductory bundles offer 10 hours for $3.99, 25 hours for $7.99, or 50 hours for $11.99.
Each bundle includes ad-free cloud gaming, shorter wait times, and higher-quality streaming. The hours do not expire monthly; a purchased bundle remains available until its hours are used.
The report says Microsoft has secured streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI, but it is unclear whether streaming will be limited to Xbox consoles. Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball said on X that Microsoft will not stream the game to PCs. Microsoft is also testing free, ad-supported cloud gaming for Insiders. Those sessions are limited to games users already own and last up to one hour.
