Withings now charges $100 per year for syncing data to other apps

New Withings users will need a Withings Plus subscription to automatically sync health data from the company’s fitness-tracking smartwatches and smart scales to third-party apps such as Apple Health and Google Health.

According to a discussion on Withings’ support forums, spotted by MacRumors, the change applies to accounts created on or after October 13, 2026. Withings Plus costs $9.95 per month or $99.50 per year. The devices include a free one-month trial, with third-party syncing available during the trial.

When the trial ends, syncing pauses, but data already sent to other apps is not deleted.

Existing users whose accounts were created on or before October 12, 2026, will continue to get automatic syncing for free, according to comments from a Withings support team member. The access is tied to the account, not a particular device. Those users can also register new Withings watches, scales, or other hardware and keep syncing without a subscription.
