Windows 11 adds Xbox mode shortcuts and search tools

Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 Insider builds add quick settings for Xbox mode and new search features, according to The Verge’s Terrence O’Brien.

The Xbox mode shortcuts let users change Bluetooth, WiFi and power settings without leaving gaming mode. Search results can now be filtered by files, actions or web results. The search box can also handle actions such as changing screen brightness or volume, and actions on a connected phone, including making calls.

Results may include more detail, such as when a file was last modified and its author. Search can also show charts for stock prices and weather forecasts. Users can give feedback through inline thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons to help improve search over time.

Microsoft says the full list of changes is in its blog post. Beta Build 26220.9836 and Experimental Build 26340.9843 are available to Windows Insiders.
