Barcelona-based smart TV operating system maker Titan OS has raised $46 million in new funding, combining equity and debt, the company announced Wednesday. Debt facilities from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock make up part of the financing; existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners also participated.
The company raised $58 million last year, bringing its total funding to $110 million. Titan OS says it now serves 30 million users, up from 18 million last year. It works with TiVo as a sales partner in some regions and with Tubi in the UK. Since last year, it has added Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth as partners. Philips has replaced Google TV with Titan OS in its 2026 models.
Titan OS earns revenue through partnerships with free ad-supported television (FAST) channels and advertising. The company says its wider reach can attract more sales partners and advertisers. CFO Hyoungung Kim told TechCrunch that monetizing its network remains central to the business, while the company is also expanding through partners.
With the new funding, Titan OS plans to work on content discovery using interface changes, artificial intelligence and additional content-provider partnerships. It also uses AI to improve ad recommendations and audience segmentation, according to SVP of people and marketing Tobias Pfalzgraff. Titan OS has grown to 250 employees over the past year and opened a London office focused on advertising. It also has offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei.
