Telenor Connexion is adding new names to its leadership as it puts international expansion and acquisitions on the agenda, according to Swedish publication Techtidningen.
Ingrid Wistrand is joining the board. She co-founded Tele2 IoT and later became chief operating officer of Deutsche Telekom IoT. She will serve alongside Morten Weicher of Verdane.
Pekka Lundmark, Nokia’s former CEO, will become chair. His appointment was announced in May, Techtidningen reported.
The company is also adding Jesper Bruksner to its management team as head of human resources, responsible for personnel matters and organizational development. Bruksner has experience at companies including Klarna.
The changes follow an ownership partnership between Telenor and Verdane in the company behind Telenor IoT. The source describes international expansion and acquisitions as being on the agenda; it does not report a specific acquisition.
