TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 will add a new Real World AI Stage, expanding the event’s single AI stage into two. The new program will examine how artificial intelligence connects digital systems with the physical world.
Sessions will cover autonomous hardware, robotics, defense systems, industrial AI, edge computing and the use of AI in biology. One session will examine the data gap facing general-purpose robotic intelligence and ask what a “ChatGPT moment” for physical AI would require. Les Karpas, Head of Physical AI at Nvidia, is scheduled to participate.
Another session will focus on testing, validation, safety culture, regulatory hurdles and deployment decisions for autonomous vehicles, defense technologies and industrial systems. Ben Lamm, CEO of Colossal Biosciences, will discuss technologies used to revive extinct species, AI in modern biology and the debate over engineering nature.
The lineup also includes FieldAI CEO and founder Dr. Ali Agha, Medra CEO and founder Michelle Lee, and Eclipse Ventures partner Aidan Madigan-Curtis. Additional sessions will address moving deep-tech prototypes into production, with speakers from MBRYONICS, Bedrock Robotics and Foxglove.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 will take place October 13 to 15 at San Francisco’s Moscone West.
