TCL has unveiled its P80 series of phones at IFA Berlin 2026, including the P80 Ultra, P80 Pro, and P80. The P80 Ultra and P80 Pro combine AMOLED displays with TCL’s nxtPaper technology, which adds a matte, paper-like viewing option.
The phones can switch between standard color viewing and e-reader modes using a side key. Max Ink Mode uses a black-and-white display to reduce distractions and power consumption, while Paper Mode recreates a paper-like feel and includes customizable eye-care settings.
The P80 Ultra has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3,200 nits peak brightness, 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.38mm bezels, and a 5,800mAh battery. Its cameras include a 50MP main lens, 50MP periscope telephoto, 8MP ultra-wide, and 32MP front camera. The P80 Pro is similar but omits the periscope telephoto camera. The P80 has no nxtPaper switch and less power.
Prices start at €549 for the P80 Ultra, €429 for the P80 Pro, and €349 for the P80. TCL also showed the nxtPaper-equipped Note A1 tablet, with a 1.5-inch, 120Hz display, an 8,000mAh battery, an octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
