Swedish Mobile Networks Improve, but Business Customer Satisfaction Stalls

Swedish mobile operators received better ratings for speed, stability and coverage in the SKI Mobil 2026 survey, but satisfaction among business customers remained at 67.0. Ratings also improved for call quality and handling heavy network loads.

Higher customer expectations help explain why better network performance did not lift overall satisfaction, according to Johan Parmler, CEO of Svenskt Kvalitetsindex. He said much of the improvement goes toward meeting a higher baseline. The survey does not establish exactly what caused expectations to rise.

Price, how well subscriptions match customer needs and customer relationships remain weak points, Parmler said. The overall average also masks large differences between customers. Telia had the highest business customer rating at 69.2, while Fello led among private customers at 81.0.

About one in four business customers said they had experienced an outage or operational disruption in the past year. Parmler said ratings fall when problems occur, especially for information during a disruption and follow-up afterward. Operators that perform best in such situations inform customers early, explain what happened, say when the next update will come and follow up once the problem is resolved.

Business customers feel more confident that operators can provide secure, stable services, but ratings for technical redundancy and security have largely remained unchanged. Parmler said redundancy is harder for customers to assess because it is rarely visible until something goes wrong.
