Sonic Lamb’s Beyond headphones add a second way to experience low-frequency sound: an Impulse Driver in each earcup sends vibrations through the headphones’ “wooferpads” so listeners can feel the bass through their skin.
The company says the vibrations, which reach as low as 2Hz, are synchronized with the audio’s timing and dynamics. The headphones offer 10 intensity levels and profiles for music, movies and gaming, as well as options to adjust the sound to personal preferences.
Beyond also supports Bluetooth 5.4, LDAC, aptX Lossless, Bluetooth LE Audio, LC3, USB-C digital audio, 3.5 mm analogue audio and multipoint connectivity. A separate Beyond Link dongle provides low-latency connectivity for gaming. Sonic Lamb says battery life is up to 40 hours. The headphones do not have active noise cancellation.
The new model follows Sonic Lamb’s first generation of headphones with this vibration technology. TechRadar reports that it tested the earlier version and found the effect effective, while noting that the original design was “a little unrefined.” It also reports that the first model’s sound, comfort, weight and padding were very good.
Sonic Lamb Beyond headphones are scheduled to go on sale in the US in November 2026 for $249. The source gives approximate equivalents of £187 and AU$357.
