NTDEV, the creator of Tiny11, has released a redesigned version of Tiny11 Builder, a tool for making customized Windows 11 installation images. TechRadar reports that the update replaces a PowerShell-based process with a desktop app built using WinUI 3.
The developer says the new Builder is more reliable and includes auto-resume and custom configurations. It is also designed to use modern PCs to speed up the process. The updated interface is intended to make creating an installation image easier for people who are less technically confident.
Tiny11 removes some Microsoft apps and other included software while retaining Windows Update and Microsoft Defender. The source notes that default Tiny11 configurations can remove features users may want. Microsoft does not officially support custom Tiny11 installations, and the developer describes hardware-check and local-account settings as best effort rather than guaranteed bypasses. A Tiny11 installation still requires a valid Windows license.
The separate Tiny11 Core version removes Windows 11 feature updates and Microsoft's recovery environment, although it retains security patches. The developer recommends using Core only for testing in virtual machines. TechRadar also notes that Tiny11 is third-party software used at the user's own risk.
