Oukitel has introduced two new phones at IFA 2026, including the WP70 Ultra, which the company describes as the “slimmest 16,000mAh rugged smartphone.”
Its 16,000mAh battery is larger than the 10,000mAh battery in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max and more than triple the capacity of the 5,088mAh battery in the eSIM-only iPhone 17 Pro Max configuration. Versions of the iPhone 17 Pro Max with physical SIM card slots have a lower capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery.
The phone supports 66W charging, but it is still 16.4mm thick. Oukitel uses a silicon-carbon battery to help limit its size, while the device also has a rugged outer shell.
Other features include pro-grade thermal imaging for identifying risks and locating heat sources in darkness, smoke, and fog. The WP70 Ultra has a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, a mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, a 108MP main camera, a 64MP night vision camera, and Android 16.
Pricing and availability have not been confirmed. The phone is aimed at people whose work or hobbies involve challenging outdoor environments rather than average smartphone users.
