Oppo's new phone is first with three 200-megapixel cameras

Oppo has launched the Find X10 Pro Max in China, describing it as the first phone anywhere with 200-megapixel sensors on all three rear cameras.

The main camera offers a 17-stop dynamic range through what Oppo calls DeepPix sensor technology. The triple-camera system sits in a raised, square camera island, while a separate side bar contains the flash and an additional sensor. An orange accent line reflects Oppo's ongoing camera partnership with Hasselblad.

The regular Find X10 uses a similar design without the extra lens element and has a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The Find X10 Pro Max runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro, while the base Find X10 uses the 9600M.

Both phones have 8,000mAh batteries, IP69 ratings, and customizable photography color profiles and film looks. Oppo's launch follows Vivo's X500 series, which also has a 17-stop dynamic range. Xiaomi is set to reveal its 18 Pro flagships next, as China's largest Android manufacturers prepare their flagship phones for holiday sales. Oppo has confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max will eventually launch internationally.
