Nvidia plans to invest $3 billion in Meta’s share offering as the companies expand their partnership on artificial intelligence models and infrastructure, according to TechRadar.
The agreement would give Meta access to more Nvidia computing technology as it develops its Muse models and related AI services. The companies are also discussing technologies to supervise agents, but have not given a timeline for every proposed collaboration.
Meta expects to install Nvidia equipment including the forthcoming Vera Rubin platform and Vera central processors. Planned networking components include Nvidia Spectrum-X and BlueField-4. The companies are also considering Nvidia’s OpenShell architecture for safer agent deployment and Sentry technology to track agent activity and support data processing.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described AI agents as software that understands goals, reasons, uses tools and completes work on users’ behalf. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Muse is intended to bring personal superintelligence to everyone. Meta says its Muse systems have performed well in benchmark tests and consumer downloads have risen since release, but the companies have not provided download totals or independent comparisons with competing products.
Meta first outlined a fundraising programme of about $35 billion: $22.5 billion in Class A shares and $12.5 billion in convertible depositary securities. It later raised the ordinary share sale to $25 billion, offering each Class A share at $625 and depositary securities at $50 per share. Broader offerings could raise up to $95 billion, though that amount is not guaranteed. The companies have not disclosed how much additional Nvidia equipment Meta will buy or when all planned deployments will take place.
