Microsoft has released the Windows 10 KB5126657 extended security update, which includes security fixes from October 2026 Patch Tuesday along with bug fixes and other changes. Microsoft no longer adds new features to Windows 10.
After installation, Windows 10 updates to build 19045.7807, while Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 updates to build 19044.7807. The update is available to Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC users and people enrolled in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
The release includes fixes from October 2026 Patch Tuesday, which addressed 1,411 vulnerabilities across Microsoft products, including one actively exploited zero-day flaw.
Microsoft also lists a known issue affecting some USB Audio Class 1.0 devices following the September 2026 Windows security updates. Affected devices may show a Code 10 error in Device Manager, stop producing audio, or have unresponsive volume controls and sound settings. Some may work in stereo but fail with 8-channel or 3D audio.
An emergency out-of-band update released on September 14 partially addressed the issue with 8-channel and 3D audio. Other audio problems remain unresolved, and Microsoft says it is working on additional fixes.
