Logitech G has launched the Yeti 2, a streaming microphone designed as an all-in-one option for content creators. It follows the original Yeti, which debuted in 2009 and became a popular choice for streamers. Blue Microphones, the brand’s original maker, was bought by Logitech in 2023 and gradually folded into the Logitech G portfolio. The older microphone remains in production.
The Yeti 2 keeps the pill-shaped design and adds a redesigned three-capsule array and a 1.3-inch screen. The display can show settings such as gain and pickup pattern, or an animated mascot whose expression changes when the user is too loud or too quiet. The default character is a pixel-art yeti; users can choose other presets or upload images to create their own.
Its adjustable AI-powered denoiser runs locally on the microphone, without PC software, to reduce background sounds. A built-in proximity sensor tracks the user’s face position and distance from the mic; Logitech G’s senior global product marketing manager emphasized that it is not a camera. The microphone uses that information to adjust pickup pattern, EQ and gain automatically in real time.
The Yeti 2 costs $159.99, £139.99 or AU$249.95, undercutting premium alternatives such as the SteelSeries Alias and Shure MV7+.
