JustWatch launches its own streaming service

JustWatch has launched JustWatch TV, its own streaming service, after announcing plans for the service last month. JustWatch is also known for helping viewers find shows and movies on platforms such as Disney Plus and Netflix.

The service is available through JustWatch’s mobile apps and website in 12 markets, including the US, Canada, France, Italy, Australia, and the UK. Its content comes from 30 global partners, including Bleecker Street, Cineverse, Fremantle, New Regency, and Paramount, alongside partners specific to each region.

JustWatch offers three options. JustWatch TV Free provides an ad-supported selection of titles. JustWatch TV Plus costs $3.99 per month and includes more than 300 ad-free titles, app features for hiding disliked or already-watched shows from the guide, and a 10 percent discount on rentals. A $49.99 lifetime subscription is also available.

The JustWatch TV Store offers movies to rent and is initially available only in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. According to TechCrunch, JustWatch believes the value of the data it collects will make the lifetime subscription worthwhile even if the cost of the content it provides rises.
