The JBL Live 680NC are wireless headphones with good sound for their price, although the low end can be unruly and the high end is somewhat rolled off. Their strongest points are the extensive feature set and very long battery life.
The headphones cost $159.95 / £129.99 / AU$199.95 and offer up to 50 hours with ANC enabled or 80 hours without it. They support adaptive ANC, Ambient Aware, TalkThru, personalized EQ, spatial audio, Auracast, Multipoint connectivity, Bluetooth with LE Audio, fast charging, voice assistants, and on-ear wear detection. LE Audio is unavailable for Apple users.
- Parametric EQ adjustment of up to 6 dB between 32 Hz and 16 kHz
- Personi-Fi 3.0 personalized hearing profile
- About 231 grams
- Five colors: black, blue, green, white, and champagne
- 1.5-inch height adjustment per side
- No charging cable included
The on-ear fit can place pressure on the top of the head during long listening sessions, and the spatial audio is underwhelming in practice. The JBL Live 680NC is $100 cheaper than the JBL Live 780NC, released concurrently in March 2026, but the more expensive model offers better sound and weight distribution.
