ExpressVPN has released a native app for Amazon Fire TV devices running Vega OS, expanding the number of VPN providers available on the platform to four.
The app is available through the Amazon Appstore on supported devices, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the first device to ship with Amazon’s Linux-based Vega OS. Users can connect or disconnect, choose a VPN location, and manage the connection with a remote. Frequently used locations can be pinned to Favorites.
ExpressVPN’s app supports TV-friendly sign-in, including QR code sign-in where available. It runs the company’s Lightway protocol, which ExpressVPN says is designed to keep connections fast and stable for HD and 4K streaming.
Setup requires users to open the Amazon Appstore, search for ExpressVPN, download the app, sign in, choose a location, and connect. Amazon’s one-time system VPN permission must also be approved.
NordVPN and IPVanish were available when Amazon enabled VPN support on the platform at the end of November. Surfshark followed in May 2026 with a WireGuard-based app. ExpressVPN says it plans to expand support as new devices and updates arrive.
