An experimental release of the d4r project adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 and DLSS 4.5 on AMD Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards, according to Wccftech. The cards use AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture.
DLSS is NVIDIA’s upscaling technology, designed for GeForce RTX GPUs. The project’s developer, identified as “countervolts,” has updated d4r to run the latest DLSS upscaling models on AMD hardware. The report says the mod uses AMD’s native FP8 capabilities.
The support remains experimental, and the project is described as far from ready for everyday use. The report does not provide further details about compatibility, performance, or when a more complete release might be available.
