Staffing software company Bullhorn has temporarily disabled access to its platform after a cyberattack caused a system-wide outage. The company says it isolated the issue and eradicated the immediate threat.
Bullhorn said it is working to restore services after security reviews with help from CrowdStrike specialists. Its status page reported job-posting problems on Friday, followed the next day by an outage affecting the entire platform. The company then confirmed the disruption was caused by a cyberattack.
The company says a forensic investigation is underway, but it has not determined whether customer data was taken. Bullhorn says it will notify affected individuals directly if it confirms a data breach.
Most services are under maintenance or experiencing degraded performance. Adapt, eEmpACT, and StaffSuite remain operational, while major outages affect ATS/CRM, Automation, Back Office, Talent Platform, and sandbox environments. Bullhorn has not provided restoration timelines.
Bullhorn says non-SSO users will need to reset their passwords at their next login, and API passwords need to be rotated. Client-secret changes will follow later; changes for Bullhorn-hosted instances will happen automatically. Customers can request data exports through support. The company says unposted time records will be reprocessed after service is restored, and service credits will be reviewed under applicable SLAs once the incident is resolved.
