Arm says its AGI CPU can deliver twice the performance per rack of modern x86 solutions in agentic AI workloads. The company presented the comparison at OCP 2026, according to Wccftech.
The demonstration compared Arm’s processor with AMD’s EPYC Turin, based on Zen 5. Arm framed the result at rack level, while describing its design focus as “strong per-core” capabilities. The claim is from Arm; the source does not provide independent verification of the benchmark.
Wccftech reported that Arm’s demonstration did not include AMD’s EPYC Venice, which uses Zen 6. That leaves the comparison without AMD’s newer generation in the lineup described by the article. No results for EPYC Venice were included in the reported demonstration.
The announcement comes as chipmakers increasingly position CPUs for agentic AI workloads. The reported comparison is limited to the systems and workload context Arm presented; it does not establish how the processors perform across other tasks or configurations.
