AOOSTAR has showcased the NEX495S, a flagship mini PC built around AMD’s 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 SoC. The system uses the new Zen 5 Gorgon Halo platform and supports up to 192 GB of memory.
Gorgon Halo is also known as Ryzen AI Max 400. Since AMD launched the processors, multiple manufacturers have introduced mini PCs and other systems based on the refreshed Zen 5 chips.
The NEX495S adds AOOSTAR to a group of mostly Chinese hardware makers moving to the platform. Minisforum, Acemagic, GMKtec, and Chuwi are among the latest companies cited as having launched new products based on the chips.
The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 uses 16 cores and 32 threads, matching the core and thread configuration associated with the Gorgon Halo SoC. AOOSTAR has not provided further specifications for the NEX495S in the available material.
