Advania wins Omdia’s Innovation Partner of the Year award

Advania has received Omdia’s Innovation Partner of the Year award, recognizing the company’s investments in artificial intelligence (AI), infrastructure and governance. Omdia presented the award at Canalys Forum EMEA in Barcelona on October 8.

The analyst highlighted Advania’s combination of AI expertise, infrastructure and governance in a unified offering, along with its investments and customers’ use of its solutions. A central part of that offering is Advania ALT, launched in August. The platform lets customers choose different AI models for different tasks while managing data, security and costs in one place. Models can be replaced as needs change.

“We built Advania ALT from a clear conviction: organizations should not have to choose between accelerating their AI use and maintaining control,” AI chief Errol Norlum said in a comment.

The award came one week after Norlum became AI chief for the entire Advania Group, having previously led its Swedish AI business. In September, he estimated that between 30% and 50% of customers’ AI use takes place outside central control, including through private AI subscriptions or uploads of company data to external services. He said bans alone are not enough and that employees need an approved option that makes work easier.

Advania has expanded its offering through acquisitions of The AI Framework, Gompute and Evolv, as well as investments in its own computing capacity.
