TechRadar reviewer Steve Clark describes the LiberNovo Maxis as a comfortable, highly adjustable office chair designed for larger, taller users. He found it supportive through eight-hour workdays and said its broad seat and polished design set it apart from many office chairs.
The Maxis comes in three models: a manual version, the Maxis Electric with electric lumbar adjustments, and the Maxis Airflow, which Clark reviewed. The Airflow adds a seat cooling fan and OmniStretch, a backrest feature LiberNovo describes as a way to decompress. Clark said it gently vibrates and kneads the lower back. The chair also comes in bundles, including options with a footrest and a spare rechargeable battery.
Clark reported that the Maxis is designed for people between 5'10" and 6'7", with a recommended maximum weight of 399 lbs (181kg). He found the chair too large for his own frame, which was an inch below the recommended minimum height.
Price is a central caveat in Clark’s review. The manual model lists for $1299 in the US and £1099 in the UK; at the time of review, those prices were discounted to $1119 and £1002. The Maxis Electric was listed at $1799 / £1579, while the reviewed Maxis Airflow was $1859 / £1699. Clark praised its build quality and comfort, but said its premium price may put buyers off.
