Google appears to end Pixel Tablet after 3 years

Google appears to have withdrawn the Pixel Tablet after 3 years, with its product listing disappearing from the Google Store. The tablet is also unavailable through third-party retailers such as Amazon. Best Buy still shows a listing, but says the item is no longer available in new condition.

Several accessories, including the Speck SandyShell Case and Charging Speaker Dock, have also disappeared from the Google Store. Their pages offer a “Get notified” option instead of a purchase option.

The Pixel Tablet launched in 2023 with a starting price of $399 / £399 / AU$649. Google released only the original tablet; speculation about a Pixel Tablet 2 and Pixel Tablet 3 ended after reports that production had stopped.

Some users on Reddit said the device was underrated and criticized Google’s decision because it weakens the company’s cross-device experience alongside Pixel Phone and Pixel Watch. Other users said Google had neglected its tablet range.

Google has not stated what it plans to do with its tablets. The company could rethink the category or leave a gap in its device lineup. TechRadar says it contacted Google for comment and will update the story if it receives a response.
