Undead Labs Returns to Independence as State of Decay 3 Remains Day-One on Game Pass

Undead Labs has returned to independence during Microsoft's Big Xbox Reset, according to Wccftech. The studio had previously been confirmed as sold to an unknown third party when Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced the first part of the restructuring.

As Xbox released the second part of the division-wide reset, which includes another couple of hundred layoffs and various studio mergers, Undead Labs revealed that the buyer was the company itself. The change effectively returns the studio to independence, following a path also associated with Compulsion Games and Double Fine Productions.
