TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to feature Hello Robot’s Stretch 4 demo

Hello Robot CEO and co-founder Aaron Edsinger is scheduled to bring Stretch 4 to the Real World AI Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in San Francisco.

The wheeled home-assistance robot uses a single telescoping arm instead of legs or two arms. Hello Robot designed it to navigate spaces built for people and perform tasks such as closing blinds, helping users eat, and scratching an itch. TechCrunch has reported that people with severe mobility impairments use Stretch technology for everyday activities.

Stretch 4 launched in May, and its first production run had sold out by June, according to the source. Hello Robot says the latest generation was shaped by six years of customer feedback and includes a full-stack, open source software platform for robotics researchers and developers.

Edsinger previously founded Meka Robotics and Redwood Robotics, which Google acquired in 2013. He later led robotics work at Google before co-founding Hello Robot.

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 is scheduled for October 13–15 at Moscone West. More than 10,000 attendees are expected, alongside 200+ sessions across six industry stages, 250+ speakers, and 300+ exhibiting startups. The Stretch 4 session will focus on physical AI in environments shared by robots and people.
