Bethesda Game Studios has outlined a year of planned updates for Fallout 76, culminating in a Summer 2027 expansion that will extend the map toward the Capital Wasteland, the setting of Fallout 3. Wccftech reports that the studio presented the plans at a press preview event attended by the outlet.
The roadmap begins with an episodic Slasher mystery, which is already available. Bethesda then plans a World Pets update in December, followed by Hideouts in Spring 2027 and the map expansion in Summer 2027.
The studio also discussed technical improvements beyond the recently added PS5 Pro support. These include further console upscaling options and PC rendering upgrades. Bethesda has not dated those planned enhancements.
Wccftech characterized the plans as Fallout 76’s biggest year yet. The available details outline the sequence and timing of the announced content, but do not specify further features for the updates or expansion.
