Reco raises $55 million as AI agent security market grows

AI security startup Reco has raised $55 million, adding to a $30 million Series B announced in February and bringing its total funding to $140 million.

The company says it helps security teams discover AI agents and see which apps, people, accounts and permissions they can reach. Reco says its platform can also cut off access an agent does not need. CEO and co-founder Ofer Klein told TechCrunch that companies are building and deploying agents faster than they can track them.

At one Fortune 100 customer, Klein said, Reco found 21,000 agents the company did not know about. Reco also claims it identified an agent at a large financial services customer, set up by a former employee, that could access Salesforce and share data with a domain the company could not see.

Reco says it integrates with more than 280 apps and can add integrations within days. Klein said the platform uses browser and network signals to find agents outside directly connected apps, and can inspect prompts and tool calls.

AT&T, a Reco customer, invested in the funding extension through its venture arm, alongside Forestay and Quadrille Capital. The company plans to use the money for hiring, sales, partnerships and customer support. Reco has more than 100 customers, with financial services firms accounting for about 40% of its business, according to the company.
