Thrustmaster unveils T-GT III wheel for Gran Turismo 7

Thrustmaster has unveiled the T-GT III Steering Wheel, designed for Gran Turismo 7 and compatible with PS4 and PS5. The company says the wheel will launch on December 3 for $749.99, £649.99 or €699.99. It is the latest addition to Thrustmaster’s 16-year partnership with the Gran Turismo series.

The bundle includes a leather-finish T-GT steering wheel with four rotary encoders mapped for Gran Turismo. Thrustmaster describes the T-GT III as its first Direct Axial Drive bundle designed for Gran Turismo and the first to natively integrate a load-cell pedal set. The wheel delivers constant torque of 5 Nm, with overshoot capacity up to 10 Nm.

Thrustmaster says Harmony technology and high-frequency torque support two game-focused haptic effects: “Gear Jolt,” which lets players feel gear shifts, and “Engine Roar,” which makes the chassis resonate in time with engine RPM.

The company says it plans to support the T-GT III with software and firmware updates as Gran Turismo receives Spec updates. Spec IV is the next free update, planned in two parts: the first is due this month and the second in December. The announcement also welcomes Thrustmaster as a partner of Gran Turismo World Series. Producer Kazunori Yamauchi and Thrustmaster development and licensing director Gilles Raulet both described the ongoing collaboration in comments included in the announcement.
