Sony has revealed a new image from the upcoming God of War Laufey, featuring Kratos. The image places Kratos and Laufey in what appears to be ancient Greece, at a point before they met, according to IGN Nordic Marvel.
Kratos appeared briefly in the game’s extended gameplay trailer. The game’s story and setting remain largely unknown. The source says Laufey wakes up in the Everywhen after Kratos cremated her in the 2018 game.
In other entertainment news, Disney has tapped Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts to helm the first film in a new Star Wars trilogy written by Simon Kinberg. Watts previously co-created the Disney+ series Skeleton Crew, which the source describes as Goonies-esque.
Avengers: Endgame Encore earned $86 million at the global box office during its first re-release, the source reports. That brings the film’s reported total since its 2019 debut to $2.88 billion.
