The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G prioritizes durability over speed and software polish. TechRadar reviewer Nirave Gondhia describes it as a mid-range phone with strong drop protection, but a less refined everyday experience.
Xiaomi says the phone’s SGS 5-star-certified Titan Durability frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protect it from drops of up to 2.5 meters. It also has IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance. Its 6,500mAh battery supports 100W charging, which the review says can charge the phone fully in 40 minutes.
The 6.83-inch 120Hz display supports Dolby Vision, though the review reports that automatic dimming can make it harder to see outdoors. The 200MP main camera takes strong daylight photos, while the 8MP ultra-wide camera is described as mediocre; there is no dedicated telephoto lens. The review also says the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 can struggle during heavy gaming, and that ads and bundled apps in HyperOS contribute to a sluggish feel.
TechRadar says the phone launched in the UK in January 2026 at £429, after its December 2025 announcement. At the time of the review, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model had fallen to around £350; the 12GB RAM and 512GB model cost £479. The review’s verdict is that its battery life and drop protection stand out, provided buyers accept the performance and software trade-offs.
