Accessories maker ORICO has entered the laptop market with the Obook15, its first full computer. The laptop is available for preorder in the US and the Philippines from October 16 to October 23.

The Obook15 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor with 8 cores, 16 threads and a boost clock of up to 4.7GHz. It has integrated Radeon 680M graphics, 12GB or 24GB of LPDDR5 memory, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. Two M.2 2280 slots are included; ORICO says the empty second slot supports up to 4TB of additional storage.

The laptop has a 15.6-inch matte IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Other features include a backlit full-size keyboard with a numeric pad, Windows 11 Home, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. It also supports XiaoAo, an AI assistant with 11 specialized experts, according to the source.

Prices start at $689.99 for the 12GB memory and 256GB storage model. During preorder, ORICO is offering a 15% discount and a bonus gift; the starting configuration is reduced to about $586.49, a $103.50 cut. The 12GB and 512GB model costs $749.99, while the 24GB and 1TB version costs $899.99.

ORICO CEO Yeyou Xu described the laptop as the company’s answer to “intelligent productivity.”
