NVIDIA RTX 5070 Reportedly Gets a New Variant With a Larger GB203 Die

NVIDIA may be preparing a new variant of the GeForce RTX 5070 that replaces the GB205 die with the larger GB203 die, according to a Wccftech report.

The reported design would use a cut-down GB203 die from the RTX 5070 Ti. NVIDIA has previously used different silicon for existing GPUs, and the company has started using larger dies in some RTX 50 series cards.

Some vendors have also introduced revised versions of existing models. MSI has launched a new variant of the RTX 5060. Regular RTX 5060 cards use the GB206 die, while some newer RTX 5060 cards use different silicon.

The report presents the RTX 5070 change as a possible new variant. It does not establish an official launch date or confirm additional specifications.
