Nvidia and Anthropic CEOs offer differing AI views at Dreamforce 2026

TechRadar reports that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei presented contrasting views on artificial intelligence during the opening keynote of Dreamforce 2026. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff questioned both executives about the technology’s progress, regulation and safety.

Amodei compared the AI market with the motor industry, arguing that companies can learn from one another and that international standards could help move the sector forward. He said the pace of technological and economic progress had surprised him during Anthropic’s past decade of development. He also said that, even if AI development stopped today, society might be using only 5-10% of its potential value.

Amodei said broader use of information through platforms such as Claude could create new business opportunities. His Claude platform has increasingly partnered with Salesforce, including through the recent launch of Claudeforce.

Huang described the current period as “a new industrial revolution” while stressing that safety remains essential. He said safety is an engineering problem and that speed and safety are not mutually exclusive. Huang urged companies to pause when a product may be unsafe or a business is out of control.

Asked about Salesforce’s future, Huang said he wants to “Agentforce every company” by deploying AI widely. He also warned companies not to fall behind, while encouraging them not to give up if adoption is not immediate.
