TechRadar reviewer Sharmishta Sarkar tested the Mova V70 Ultra Complete, a premium robot vacuum from Mova, a brand owned by Dreame Technology. The review finds that its feature list is stronger than its cleaning performance.
The robot offers suction rated up to 42,000Pa, an extendable side brush that reaches 12cm and a mop arm that reaches 17cm. It was also the quietest robot vacuum Sarkar had tested. Its bagless dust tank avoids replacement dust bags, and the box includes replacement brushes and three extra pairs of mop pads.
In testing, the vacuum failed to pick up a mixture of oats, tea and chia seeds from a mid-pile carpet after two passes at its Max setting. Hair pickup improved at Max+, but the reviewer still needed a Dyson V15 Detect to clean up the remaining mixture. The side brush also retracted along some room edges, leaving dirt behind. The mop arm performed better, though the dual rotating pads made more of a mess of spilled soy sauce than roller mops the reviewer had used.
During four weeks of testing, the robot needed manual help docking twice; on other occasions, it took two or three attempts to dock. The companion app could also be slow to load and respond on iOS.
TechRadar lists the retail price as $1,299, £1,219 and AU$3,299. The review concludes that the V70 Ultra Complete's performance falls short of its promises for its price. TechRadar had not tested two cited competitors, the Roborock Saros 20 Flow and Dreame Aqua20 Ultra Roller.
