Meta is rolling out a feature called “spaces” to all users of its Muse AI assistant. The feature lets users create app-like experiences tailored to their needs, such as a shopping hub, school dashboard, music tracker or trivia game.
Users can create a space by describing what they want, then refine it by asking Muse. They can interact with spaces in the app by checking items off, adding notes and making edits. When a space is connected to a relevant app, Muse can update information such as prices and dates in the background, according to Meta.
Spaces can be added to the Muse app’s sidebar or moved into its main tab. Users can also schedule when a space appears. Meta offered a weekly planner as an example: it could stay prominent during the workweek and be replaced by weekend plans on Saturday.
The rollout also includes a “specialized” version of Meta’s Muse Wonder AI model. Meta says it is exploring ways for users to share spaces and collaborate with others. The company has not announced when those sharing features might become available.
