iOS 27.2 Adds Siri Updates and a New Apple Music Icon

Apple is rolling out iOS 27.2, an update that adds changes to Siri, Messages, Apple Music, FaceTime and the iPhone Duo, among other features, according to TechRadar.

Siri can draw on more personal context, including voicemails, photos attached to messages and calendar event attendees. Siri AI also gains French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. SynthID labeling is being added to Image Playground creations and substantially edited photos, including images changed with Reframe or Extend.

Apple Music has a new black-and-white icon instead of a red one. Messages now offers tappable suggestions based on context, such as prompting users to add an event invitation to their calendar. Dual Capture is available in group FaceTime calls, letting users show content simultaneously from the front and rear cameras.

The iPhone Duo gains support for the USB-C Apple Pencil and an Edge Light feature that brightens a user's face during video calls. Other changes include layout adjustments in Podcasts and an anniversary reminder for phone calls. TechRadar describes these as seven major updates alongside smaller changes.
