HubSpot AEO tracks selected questions across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, showing which brands appear in answers and which pages those answers cite. It also recommends content tasks based on the results.
TechRadar reviewer Pawan Singh tested the tool during a free trial, setting up the publication and tracking 11 of the 25 prompts available on the base plan. He found the suggested questions useful as a starting point, but several were similar, and some suggested competitors were publishing companies rather than review sites. Users can edit or remove prompts before tracking begins.
The standalone plan costs $50 per month, or $45 per month with annual billing, which totals $540 a year before tax. It includes a 28-day free trial without requiring a credit card. An additional $20 per month buys 10 more prompts and 1,000 monthly answers; tracking 45 prompts therefore costs $90 monthly. Tracking another brand requires a separate AEO instance.
One dashboard snapshot showed 6.67% brand visibility with 10 prompts over a single day, October 27. Singh cautioned that this was only a baseline, not enough history to assess progress. Visibility reflects how often a brand appears in tracked answers, while citation analysis shows the pages and domains used as sources. The review notes that mentions and citations represent different kinds of visibility.
Content generation from recommendations requires Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise and uses 1,000 HubSpot Credits per piece. HubSpot’s flexible seats-and-credits program has separate terms, including two credits per AEO answer.
