Hide.me VPN has released an Android update that brings a redesigned dashboard to its mobile and Android TV apps, along with SmartGuard support for Android TV.
SmartGuard is Hide.me’s tool for blocking ads and trackers and restricting access to malicious websites. The update also adds speed indicators to the dashboard, making server speeds easier to compare, and adds Korean to the app’s supported languages.
Hide.me says the release includes stability improvements and MTU optimization for WireGuard. Its SSTP support now includes hostname and IPv6 global address compatibility. The source article says these changes are intended to support connections as users switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, but provides no test results or performance figures.
The update is available for Android smartphones, tablets, and Android TV devices, with automatic rollout depending on device settings. The source says users can also download the latest app from Google Play. It describes Hide.me as offering a free tier and a no-logs policy; those claims are attributed to the source and are not independently verified here.
